One of the most prominent of Cherry Street’s new murals, Miller said, was inspired by a late 19th century print treasured by Rohrbach, who died of natural causes in October 2018. The mural features a view of Reading, looking east across the Schuylkill River from Leinbach’s Hill in West Reading. The husband and wife artists used Rohrbach’s print as a basis for their design, which features such landmarks of the past as the Penn Street covered bridge, the old Berks County jail in City Park and the Schuylkill Canal.
Location: 440 Cherry Street, West Reading, Pa 19611
