“Found Object” by Cuban artist Julio Cepeda, behind Winedown, 622 Penn Ave., was created from found objects donated by local residents and with the help of many area volunteers during Julio Cepeda’s summer residency in Berks.
Julio Cepeda is from Trinidad, Cuba. He manages to make one person’s trash into his own personal treasure. He can turn discarded work into sculptures and 3-D murals of extraordinary beauty, intrigue, and intellectual depth. This process creates a sense of familiarity with the work that he is doing for the community.
